10 months down 2 to go

So we have been married 10 months today! Time has flown by that’s for sure. I decided to dust off a wedding gift we haven’t used yet but I had the perfect plan for it tonight. My parents use one of these and I’m pretty sure 30 years later it is was the same one that they got for their wedding so I can’t wait to start using it more after tonight.

My Great Aunt and Uncle gave us this Electric Skillet over a year ago and I was craving Salmon tonight. I had two Salmon kabobs that we bought from Giant Eagle last week sale and had some red potatoes that I thought would be good with some Italian Dressing too. Can’t you hear it sizzlin’?!

Turned out pretty good – we both cleaned our plates!

During lunch today I stopped by World Market to look at their knobs to complete my vanity. I found the perfect ones – Reese thought so too – or she thought it was a toy for her..

I’m excited about how it all turned out Smile Project complete – cross that off my to do list!

A Few of My Favorite Things

On days like today, it’s the simple things that make my day!

Like a Chai Tea Latte with Soymilk from Starbucks for an afternoon pick me up…

Or fresh flowers in the house. I love TULIPS!

Or having time to read a book that I got back in March for my birthday

With a dog laying on the back of the couch that I’m laying on…

To round out this afternoon, I think I’ll go paint my nails – I’m in love with this pink color by Essie “Mod Square”

A Golf Filled Weekend

I’ve gotten used to the fact that Ryan has been home a lot lately – in a perfect world he would have been in California with his team playing for a national championship but I’m not complaining too much to have a relaxing weekend at home with him!

Believe it or not, we had another golf filled weekend here in Columbus… The Memorial Tournament hosted by Jack Nicklaus was in Dublin, OH this weekend and we were fortunate enough to have gotten tickets to go. Ryan woke up early Saturday morning to watch all the players hit on the range – he loves that! I met him at the course around noon and we headed out to watch a few groups after getting some lunch and drinks.

Amstel Light, chicken salad sandwich, and some chips to snack on later…

The crowds weren’t as bad as I was expecting especially since we decided to watch the #1 ranked player in the world, Luke Donald, who wasn’t having a ‘great’ tournament but still he isn’t #1 for nothing people!

We watched Hunter Mahan, Justin Rose, and ended with watching Tiger Woods play holes 8 and 9.. now those crowds were a completely different story – I felt bad for the person playing with Tiger because of all of the people that move around after Tiger hits a shot, slightly distracting if you ask me.

We had a fun windy Saturday afternoon!

Continuing with the “GOLF” theme, after a great church service on Sunday we headed out to hit some balls at OSU’s driving range. I’ve only played a few rounds of golf since I graduated in 2008 and since we have lived in Ohio I can count 3 times I’ve actually hit balls – so I’m a little rusty but it was fun to be outside and spend some time on the course with my man.
