I feel like I have been spoiled this summer. Ryan has been home so much lately which makes me a happy wife! But all good things must come to an end sooner or later! School started last week at Ohio State as well as qualifying and practice for the golf team so GO BUCKS! Let the 2012-2013 season begin!

This summer has flown by and with the end of summer comes Football season – I can’t believe kickoff is next weekend, seriously… where has the time gone!? We are looking forward to going to the OSU game at noon next weekend followed by cheering on our Bama boys that take on Michigan that night (as if we needed another reason to pull for Alabama – beating Michigan is never a bad thing living in Columbus)!

A few weeks ago we celebrated our 1 year anniversary and we were fortunate enough to have Ryan’s parents in town to celebrate with us! We don’t get to see them nearly as much as we want to but it worked out with both of our schedules for them to come up to Columbus for a visit.

Our visits are never long enough and because Kim did such a good job with our engagement pictures I took advantage of her skills and asked her to take some pics of our little family. I’m hoping to get a picture of us on our anniversary every year. I haven’t figured out how I want to display them but I’ll keep you posted on what I decide.

Here are some of the outtakes Smile There were lots of distractions for Miss Reese, she was more interested in chasing the birds, and meeting the dogs that walked by, than taking pictures with us. Thank you, Kim!

103rd Time is a Charm!

Roll Tide–National Champions!

Our memorial day weekend started on Thursday night. We dropped the pup off at the vet for boarding and hit the road for Hopkinsville, KY to stay with our friends Zack and Andrea. Ryan’s Dad’s golf team was playing for the national championship in Nashville, TN on Friday and we wanted to get a head start on the drive.

We got in late to Zack and Andrea’s and got up early to drive the rest of the way to Nashville so that we could visit with Ryan’s parents before the round started. The girls had a 2 shot lead going into the final round over Southern California and boy are we glad we made the 6 hour trip to Nashville to see this finish! I knew I would be nervous the entire day but thankfully we had some great friends come out and show their support and my parents even made the long trip too! Always good to see them Smile

We got to the hotel and hung out with Mic and Kim for a while before following the team to the course – ROLL TIDE – Let’s do this!!

Speaking of friends and family, Zack and Andrea made the trip later in the day with their 5 month old son Jack – we hadn’t seem him since he was a week old! He was all smiles and was SOO good on the golf course – it was a hot day and he just hung out in his stroller and was Alabama’s youngest fan that day.

It was good to see Ryan’s brother Corey and his girlfriend Amanda and one of Ryan’s other groomsmen came to show his support too – Big Mike!

The boy’s all together.

Back to the tournament…

Before I dive into the details let me first say that Mic has never won a National Championship. He is a hall of fame coach and has had numerous collegiate wins but has never won the BIG ONE. Alabama women’s golf has never won a NCAA championship either so this had the potential to be a HUGE day for Mic and the women’s golf program at Alabama. As a previous Alabama golfer I have been pulling for this team since the day I graduated and it has been so fun to watch how the program has grown and become a national championship contender for the past couple of years – I’m a proud Bama girl!

So throughout the entire day Alabama and Southern Cal went back and forth at the top of the leaderboard. It literally came down to the last hole… When our number one player, Brooke Pancake made a par to win by one shot over Southern Cal the crowd went crazy and we could officially call them the National Champions!

Check out that trophy!

I’m so glad we made the trip and you can read all about it on www.Rolltide.com. It was a great today to be a Bama Fan!

Roll Tide Roll!!!

Good Things.

A lot of good things have been happening lately. Our Bama boys won last night, how about that defense!? We had our friend Carmen over because her husband was out of town on work and we all watched the game together – it was so good Ryan has it on again tonight! That is pretty normal in our household.. Ryan DVRs every Alabama game and watches them the next day (if it’s a win of course)! So proud to be an Alabama Alum. Just to show you how big of Alabama fans we are – Ryan proposed to me on the field at Bryant Denny the day before the Auburn Alabama game in 2010. ROLL TIDE!

Speaking of good things, at work I found out I’m going to NYC in a couple of weeks! We take a leadership retreat every year and last year we went to Atlanta – its always exciting to me when we travel – it happens only once a year and the thought of going to THE CITY excites me to no end! I’ve never been and after our meetings one day we are going to dinner and a show, “Jersey Boys”. We are attending their region’s kickoff meeting which will be held at the NASDAQ market site in Times Square – I’m a bit of a financial nerd at heart and I am looking so forward to this trip!

One of my bridesmaids, Connor, lives in NYC and I am going to stay a few extra days to stay with her and see some of the sites! I really want to go for a walk in Central Park  (weather permitting) and go to Macy’s of course! I couldn’t be more excited about this upcoming trip and I plan to document it thoroughly. Be prepared for multiple posts!

So far, this week is off to a great start – I hope yours is too.

Now I’m going to catch up on the Bachelor and hang with my family!
